This Just In... Gun Owners Win!!

Check it:

On June 26, 2008, by a vote of 5-4, The United States Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees a fundamental, INDIVIDUAL right to own a firearm.

Voting with the majority were Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Alito, Justice Thomas, Justice Kennedy, and Justice Scalia, who wrote the opinion. Justices Breyer, Ginsburg, Souter and Stevens voted to uphold D.C.’s complete gun ban.

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditional lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home..."

Read the entire decision, in full, here. It is a beautiful read, filled with proofs, clear logic, and common sense.

Government, when it steps outside of its Constitutional chains, does much wrong. It becomes a terrible economic planner. It is a horrendous father-figure substitute. It is a brutal and ruthless oppressor.

However, when the system moves to do what it was actually designed to do, protect and uphold the life, liberty, and property of its citizens, in addition to providing an impartial tribunal for the adjudication of disputes, and guided by righteous men who rule in accordance with the Natural Law, it is a beautiful sight to behold.

Even though we have a long way to go before each and every citizen is secure in the freedoms that God gives to mankind, it is good to see that tyranny has been subdued... for the time being.

When I first began this journey of activism, my goal was to eradicate feminism, and to be a part of a movement that would right wrongs forever more. I thought that, if I present well researched and logical arguments, then our enemies would simply roll over, see the light, and give up their demands for global domination.

However, upon further reflection, I've come to realize that perfect peace and tranquility will never come. The battle against tyranny is neverending, and those of us on the side of liberty must come to terms with this fact.

Taking feminist tyranny, for example, there is much evidence to suggest that men have been discriminated against for many, many decades previous. The marriage strike, as another example, has very ancient roots.

And so it goes with our current struggle between Freedom and Tyranny, Liberty and Fascism. These states of being are not constant. They are not fixed, and they are not permanent.

They ebb and flow, wax and wane, increase and decrease.

Consequently, those of us who are called to fight for freedom must understand that, as it has been written:

... "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -- Edmund Burke

"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." -- John Philpot Curran: Speech upon the Right of Election, 1790. (Speeches. Dublin, 1808.) as quoted in the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations, NY, 1953, p167 and also in Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, Boston, 1968, p479

"But you must remember, my fellow-citizens, that eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing. It behooves you, therefore, to be watchful in your States as well as in the Federal Government." -- Andrew Jackson, Farewell Address, March 4, 1837

"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty." -- Wendell Phillips, (1811-1884), abolitionist, orator and columnist for The Liberator, in a speech before the Massachusetts Antislavery Society in 1852, according to The Dictionary of Quotations edited by Bergen Evans...

There are many people, for many reasons, that befriend evil, treachery, and tyranny; all the while claiming to be the bringers of peace and prosperity.

There is much to compromise about, but when it comes to my natural right to own firearms, which secures my natural right to be beholden to no mortal man in fundamental respects, there cannot and will not be any form of compromise.

There cannot and will not ever be any compromise when it comes to feminism and feminist ideology. My natural rights as husband and father are incompatible with fundamental feminist thought.

Recognize, Dear Reader, that I will forever remain an implacable foe, and a sworn enemy of all of those, of all "isms" (feminism, racism, fascism, corporatism, fundamentalism) who would strip me of my freedom.

Above all, don't sleep. We have won a great victory today, but war is far from over.

Don't ever surrender your rights to own guns.
It's a priviledge that few people possess.
