Dune: MRA vid of the week.

This is a flick worthy of the MRA seal of approval.

Unlike many of today's films, Dune is a Man's movie. The men command with authority, while the women (especially the concubines and the servant girls) play their positions. No pansy ass men and overbearing manchicks here!!

Most interesting for me is the relationship between the Duke of the House Atreides and his son. The younger respects the older; and the father imparts his knowledge and wisdom upon his son. The dyanmics of the relationship are such that it is difficult, in today's environment, to find such a positive portrayal of fatherhood in today's entertainment world.

O, how far we have fallen.

So anyway, kick back, watch some Dune, and await the fall of the House of Feminism!

I am curious, mainly on what points you believe Dune is a MRA movie?

Having read the first trilogy, I think I can guess which points you believe in, how Leto and Paul relate to each other, Paul and Chani, the brotherhood between the Fremen etc.

However, there did seem to be a feminist angle to it, the Bene Gesserit, the fact that women ultimately rule indirectly over every man, and don't get me started on the fish speaker madness etc.

Feel free to correct me on this, as I'm certain I missed some symbolism on the way.

Ace,

I'm mostly focusing on the father/son relationships, how the rulers plot and scheme without the accusations of being "controlling" or "abusive", and the fact that the men are viewed in a respectful, almost at times, a reverent light.

Now a days, some 5'4 chick would charge out into the sands, all by her lonesome, defeat 5000 soldiers single handed, and manage to resolve all the political intrique in such a way that all the men look like babboons.

There are some moments when the womenfolk take the lead, but that's to be expected. Sometimes the best man for the job IS a woman.

The way that the women "guide" the men at times is a classic example of the "soft power" that women commanded, before they traded their moral authority in for a custom fitted G String.

Women have their ways of getting what they want (especially from their husbands), and no amount of MRAism is gonna change that!

Peace.

This is but one of the many reasons why I've stopped going to movies and barely watch t.v. That and their utter predictability and lack of originality.

Except for sports and news, I've ditched television for YouTube.

Yepper!

Most of the tv now a days is nothing but feminist/socialist brainwashing. Peeps are so mind molded that many of the producers don't even try to hide its blatent bias and demonization of Men and Manliness.

Ah well. The lamestream media is more than useless anyways.
