Honor Network: Modern life takes its toll.

Greetings!

Welcome back.

Japan is an island, but it isn't Paradise now-a-days. The overworked Japanese people are paying the price for their meteoric rise to economic dominance. And while they heroically continue to hold on to their Yamato Damashii, the populace is showing signs of strain. The forces of globalization, feminization, and cut-throat economic competition are beginning to take their toll.

Consider this entry from The Mai-Nichi Shimbum:

Moral decline sees increase in child abuse, mothers sleeping with sons

Sachie says she sometimes gets her daughter to check up on the e-mail
her husband has been sending from his mobile phone.

"If it's one of the kids, they can ask him if they can borrow his mobile phone and he'll lend it to them without suspecting anything," the 33-year-old housewife tells Josei Jishin (3/18). "I then get the kids to check up and see whether he's been getting e-mail from any strange women. I've caught him playing around on me three times already."

Last month's arrest of a woman accused of sending her teen-age
daughter out to steal items she wanted for herself (Mom orders girl to steal) has highlighted the growing number of Japanese women who, as Sachie does, use their children like little slaves to get what they want, even occasionally bending the law while doing so.

"A neighbor of mine started going out with this really young guy after she'd been through a divorce," Satoe tells Josei Jishin. "I don't know what happened, but the guy she was seeing is now dating her daughter. I think the neighbor is forcing the girl to go out on dates with the guy to save him the embarrassment of being seen with a much older woman. She's 37 and the guy's in his early 20s, but the daughter is only 14. What's more, some people have seen the boyfriend and the daughter going into a love hotel together."

Another woman even jeopardized her young daughter's health.

"She asked her first-grader daughter to run an errand
for her. That day, the daughter had a cold and a really high fever. She told the
girl she could buy some of her favorite candies and then told me that it would
be good for the kid to get used to talking to adults," Chika says. "I know she's
the only one of our friends who's married, but I think she was probably going
too far..."

But wait! There's more:

"These women act on a similar mentality to those who abuse their kids
physically
. There seems to be a polarization of types of mothers these days,
meaning kids are either spoiled rotten or turned into little tools. In either
case, this treatment arises because the mothers aren't yet mature parents. It
leaves awful mental scars on kids. Mothers shouldn't do these sorts of things,"
Nomura tells Josei Jishin.

Shizuo Machisawa, head of the Mental Health Laboratory, cautions that selfish mothers could actually be a sign of a greater breakdown in society.

"In the past, mothers and fathers were close, and below them were the children. Now, mothers are close to their kids and fathers are shoved into the outer. In sexless marriages, it's common to find the mother sleeping with her son while her husband has to sleep in the son's empty bed. Mothers' morals are declining," Machisawa tells Josei Jishin. "A society of declining morality is a society lacking fatherhood. Fathers have to be returned to families. Mothers who force their kids to steal or sell sex or whatever are showing their lack of parental maturity. As far as the kids go, this is a form of mental abuse dished out by their mothers."
Couldn't agree more. Women can be very good at abusing their children, when the counterbalance that their husbands provide is lacking.

Japanese society is caught in the vicious vice-grips of Americanization (read: Foreign movements to eradicate all that is traditional and patriarchal in Japanese culture) and unrelenting pressure to maintain the world's second largest economy.

Japanese men work an extreme amount of hours. In the 1980's, men worked 50 hours per week; and six day weeks are the norm for most. I am quite sure that men work much longer now, simply to keep up with the demands of the global marketplace.

With so much time and effort being donated to the corporation (for a pittance, I might add, as most Japanese workers are not paid in proportion to the time they dedicate to their companies), there is no way that a Japanese husband is able to guide and unify his family, something he has been responsible for for over 2000 years.

The Japanese husband is the head of the family, and also its chief priest. Indeed, it has been argued that the Patriarchal family structure grew out of this duty of the man to be the leader of his ancestral cult.

(Lafcadio Hearn, otherwise known as Koizumi Yakumo)

As we read from Japan, An Attempt at Interpretation by Lafcadio Hearn:

In all patriarchal societies with a settled civilization, there is evolved,
out of the worship of ancestors,
a Religion of Filial Piety. Filial piety still
remains the supreme virtue among civilized peoples possessing an ancestor-cult.

. . . By filial piety must not be understood, however, what is commonly
signified by the English term,--the devotion of children to parents. We must
understand the word "piety" rather in its classic meaning, as the pietas of the
early Romans,--that is to say, as the religious sense of household duty.

Reverence for the dead, as well as the sentiment of duty towards the living; the affection of children to parents, and. the affection of parents to children; the mutual duties of husband and wife; the duties likewise of sons-in-law and daughters-in-law to the family as a body; the duties of servant to master, and of master to dependent,--all these were included under the term.

The family itself was a religion; the ancestral home a temple. And so we find the family and the home to be in Japan, even at the present day. Filial piety in Japan does not mean only the duty of children to parents and grandparents: it means still more, the cult of the ancestors, reverential service to the dead, the gratitude of the present to the past, and the conduct of the individual in relation

{p. 49}

to the entire household. Hirata therefore declared that all virtues derived from the worship of ancestors; and his words, as translated by Sir Ernest Satow, deserve particular attention:--

"It is the duty of a subject to be diligent in worshipping his ancestors, whose minister he should consider himself to be. The custom of adoption arose from the natural desire of having some one to perform sacrifices; and this desire ought not to be rendered of no avail by neglect. Devotion to the memory of ancestors is the mainspring of all virtues. No one who discharges his duty to then will ever be disrespectful to the gods or to his living parents. Such a man also will be faithful to his prince, loyal to his friends, and kind and gentle to his wife and children. For
the essence of this devotion is indeed filial piety."

This idea of respect and reverence for ancestors and elders, while extremely strong in Japanese culture, is also to be found in Western thought.

Consider the Greeks and their ancestor worship, and take a look at this excerpt from the Torah (law) of Moses:

Honor your father and your mother
(Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16)

Fear your mother and your father
(Leviticus 19:3)

In essence, the demands placed upon the Japanese man, as well as upon Men across the world, do not allow us to perform our functions as priests, teachers, law-givers, and judges. Nay, an independent, intact household has too much power to resist the encroachment of both the State and those who desire to consolidate their power over We the "masses".

Better that Men outsource their personal power to others.

On top of this, consider the fact that rabid feminists have taken it upon themselves to destroy the little power that the average male has left. As I have said repeatedly, the patriarchal order was on life support; the feminists took advantage of its weakness, and pulled the plug[a][b].

All in all, it seems to me that Japan is a victim of her own amazing economic success, in addition to being subjected to mind molding by unsympathetic foreign ideologies. And she is suffering greatly as a result.

But she's a tough old gal... I don't think its time for the fat lady to start singing just yet.

More on this in future Honor Network installments!

The Marriage Strike... is way In!

What's good??

As my regular readers know, I fully support the Marriage Strike. There is absolutely NO reason for any man to get married in this day and age, as I have explained previously[a][b].

With that said, please take a look at this article:

Marriage and divorce rates at two-decade low in Washington state

May 11, 8:50 AM EDT

SEATTLE (AP) -- Marriage and divorce rates are at a
two-decade low in Washington state, and experts are divided on the reason.

The state recorded fewer divorces in 2004 than in 1986 despite a 1.7
million population increase, and that's in line with a national trend.

The nation's divorce rate, which shot upward following the widespread adoption of state no-fault divorce laws starting in the 1960s to a peak of 5.3 divorces per 1,000 people in 1981, has since fallen to 3.6. In Washington the decline from 1986 to 2004 was from 5.9 to 4.2.

"If you have fewer
marriages, you are going to have fewer divorces.," said Pepper Schwartz, a
University of Washington sociologist.

More couples now live together
without getting married, and "you can't get divorced unless you are married," Schwartz said.

Look at the rest of this piece when you have time.

In the long run, without marriage, and without children, the divorce lawyers, the corrupt government machinery, and the Matriarchy itself will collapse under its own corpulent weight.

I for one look forward to that day. Viva La Marriage Strike!!

The Incredible Shrinking Father

Here we have an essay detailing how men are lynching themselves by donating sperm.

The Incredible Shrinking Father

By Kay S. Hymowitz

City Journal May 8, 2007

Here’s a Delphic riddle for our times: When is your father not your father? Answer: when he’s a sperm donor. Consider a case now before the Kansas Supreme Court. An unmarried woman in her early thirties decided that she wanted a child and asked a friend to be a sperm donor. He agreed, one thing led to another, which led to a syringe of his sperm, which led to the birth of twins. The mother says that she always intended to raise the kids alone and never wanted the friend involved in their lives. The donor says that he planned to be the twins’ father in name and practice. There is no written contract. What does the contemporary Solomon do?

Well, in a Kansas trial court, Solomon rules that without a contract the twins have no father. The man who provided half of the children’s genetic material has no more relationship to them than does the taxi driver who rushed their mother to the hospital when she went into labor. Now, assuming that the supreme court upholds the decision, the state of Kansas can celebrate adding two more fatherless children to its population, and Mom can rejoice by dressing her twins in bibs—available over the Internet—proudly announcing: my daddy’s name is donor.

You’d think that we had enough problems keeping fathers around in this country, what with out-of-wedlock births (over a third of all children are born to unmarried women, and, in most cases, the fathers will fade from the picture) and divorce (the average divorced dad sees his kids less often than he takes his car in for an oil change). But these days, American fatherhood has yet another hostile force to contend with: artificial insemination. This may sound a tad overheated. After all, AI has been around, by some accounts, for over a century. And the number of kids born through the procedure each year, though steadily growing, remains quite small relative to the millions of babies conceived, as we can now say completely without irony, the old-fashioned way.

But aided by a lucrative sperm-bank service industry, an increasingly unmarried consumer base, a legal profession and judiciary geared toward seeing relationships through a contractual lens, and a growing cultural preference for individual choice without limits, AI is advancing a cause once celebrated only in the most obscure radical journals: the dad-free family. There are multiple ironies in this unfolding revolution, not least that the technology that allows women to have a family without men promotes the very male carelessness that leads a lot of women to become single mothers in the first place. And fatherless families are a delicate proposition, as AI families are discovering, since all the scientists’ technology and all the lawyerly contracts can’t take human nature out of human reproduction...
There is nothing more idiotic than donating one's precious lifegiving fluid to total strangers; so they can birth another generation of bastards like me.

Being a fatherless child is a fate that I would not have chosen for myself.

The Illumined Duncan has blogged on this subject many a time on his Blogspot, Eternal Bachelor. In addition to his dead-on observations, which I highly encourage you to read, I would like to make a few comments of my own.

Every child deserves their mother and their father, whenever possible. I do understand that life happens, and sometimes things fall apart. Granted. But for a society to engage in mass breeding for the purpose of shits and profits is the sign of a culture that is truly doomed.

What most people don't know is that the ancient religions, and even our modern faiths of Judiaism, Christianity, and Islam, are firmly rooted in Male (and female) fertility worship. As a matter of fact, the waste of Sperm was a crime punishable by death in times gone by.

Consider:

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also (Genesis 38, 8-10).

Why was sperm so important to the ancients?

Because it was considered akin to the "rain" of God (Blessed be He), that fell from the sky to impregnate Mother Earth and bring forth fruit.

As above, so below. By his emission, man was truly the image of God (Blessed be He).
This idea of male fertility was a supremely important doctrine for the vast majority of
religious systems on earth, past and present.

For an brief introduction to fetility and its importance in religion, please see:

As a result of this reverence for the Male Lifeforce as being Set Apart, children were considered of the father, and not the mother.

We can recognize the motiff in the story of the Holy Spirit foreshadowing the Virgin Mary, and the legend of Zeus impregnating Danae vis-a-vis a golden shower, thus producing the Greek hero Perseus.

Consider two excerpts from Eumenides, by Aeschylus, which tells us about the trial of Orestes, who stands accused of murdering his mother (who killed his father):

(From left to right: goddess of wisdom Athena, Orestes, and the prophetic god Apollo. The vengeful Furies are standing in the background.)

APOLLO
I'll speak to that, as well. Make sure you note
how right my answer is. That word mother—
we give it to the one who bears the child.
However, she's no parent, just a nurse
to that new life embedded in her. 840
The parent is the one who plants the seed,
the father.
Like a stranger for a stranger, [660]
she preserves the growing life, unless
god injures it. And I can offer proof
for what I say—a man can have a child
without a mother. Here's our witness,
here—Athena, child of Olympian Zeus.

[Apollo points to Athena]

No dark womb nursed her—no goddess bears
a child with ancestry like hers
. Athena,
since I know so many other things, 850
I'll make your city and your people great.
That's why I sent this man a suppliant
to your own shrine, so he might prove himself,
then place eternal trust in you, dear goddess, [670]
and you could win a new ally in him,
in his descendants, too, and thus create
an everlasting bond with his posterity.
ATHENA
It's now my task to give my final verdict.
And I award my ballot to Orestes.
No mother gave me birth—that's why
in everything
but marriage I support
the man with all my heart
, a true child
of my father Zeus. Thus, that woman's death
I won't consider more significant. 940
She killed her husband, guardian of their home. [740]
If the votes are equal, Orestes wins.
Now, members of the jury, do your job.
Shake the ballots from the urns—and quickly.

Men, by voluntarily giving away their precious essence to sperm clinics and the like, cheapen themselves and their sacred honor. In addition, these "donors" make things that much harder for their fellow man, the children that are born from such unnatural unions, and society at large.

Man is the spark, the initiator. As such, it could be said that the stability of the world depends on the careful endowment of his sacred gifts to those ladies that are truly deserving.

Never underestimate your own worth. Never reduce yourself to a sperm donor.

Powerful think tank prepares report on benefits of integration between U.S., Mexico, Canada

WASHINGTON – A powerful think tank chaired by former Sen. Sam Nunn and guided by trustees including Richard Armitage, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Harold Brown, William Cohen and Henry Kissinger, is in the final stages of preparing a report to the White House and U.S. Congress on the benefits of integrating the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one political, economic and security bloc.

The final report, published in English, Spanish and French, is scheduled for submission to all three governments by Sept. 30, according to the Center for Strategic & International Studies.

CSIS boasts of playing a large role in the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994 – a treaty that set in motion a political movement many believe resembles the early stages of the European Community on its way to becoming the European Union.

"The results of the study will enable policymakers to make sound, strategic, long-range policy decisions about North America, with an emphasis on regional integration," explains Armand B. Peschard-Sverdrup, director of CSIS' Mexico Project. "Specifically, the project will focus on a detailed examination of future scenarios, which are based on current trends, and involve six areas of critical importance to the trilateral relationship: labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness and border infrastructure and logistics."

The data collected for the report is based on seven secret roundtable sessions involving between 21 and 45 people and conducted by CSIS. The participants are politicians, business people, labor leaders and academics from all three countries with equal representation.

All of this is described in a CSIS report, "North American Future 2025 Project."..

Nice!

The Men's Rights/Fathers Rights movement definitely needs the bloggers and the writers to frame our arguments, spread the word, and educate others as to what our movement is all about.

Guerrilla fighters such as we are enlightening the public, one conversation, one debate, one expose' at a time.

On the flip side, we also need people with their boots on the ground. People who are able and willing to hold the protests, organize the special events, and lobby the politicians to make a change!

Two sides of the same coin. The time for concerned citizens everywhere to combat the plauge of feminism is now!

Expect to hear more about this excellent event in the near future, and be sure to visit DaddyBlogger for more details.

Peace.
